Miniature Horse
There are accounts of them for the last 300 years in Europe
Life Span: Well into their 30's
Height: Up to 34 inches
Weight: 150-250 lbs.
Males are called Stallions
Females are called Mares
Altered Males are called Geldings

Miniature Donkey
Native to the Mediterranean Islands of Sicily and Sardinia
Life Span: 25 - 40 years
Height: Up to 36 inches
Weight: 200 - 450 lbs.
Males are called Jacks
Females are called Jennets

Scottish Highland Beef Cattle
Bred in the Scottish Highlands and later taken to richer pastures in England to fatten for market.
Long, thick hair to withstand cold weather
Life Span: 20 plus years
Weight: Up to 2000 lbs.

Alpaca
Native to South America, Alpacas were known as the Treasure of the Incan culture
Live on the rugged Andean Plateau at very high altitude
Are very sure footed and were often used as pack animals
There are 2 types of Alpacas; Huacaya and Suri
Adam and JJ are the Huacaya breed, which have a fleece like a cashmere and is softer and stronger than wool
Very safe and gentle animals
Life Span: Approximately 20 years
Height: 3 ft. to the back
Weight: Approx. 150 lbs.

Pygmy Goat
Originated in Africa, kept by villagers to supply milk
Imported to the United States in the 1950's
Color: Caramel
Height: 16 to 23 inches
Weight: 40 - 70 lbs.
Males are called Bucks
Females are called Does
Altered buck is called a Whether
